SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corp. (hereinafter called SEPCO) is the wholly owned subsidiary of Shandong Electric Power Construction. SEPCO is the largest group corporation in the construction of fossil fired power projects in China. The total assets of SEPCO are RMB 249 billion. SEPCO has 19756 employees, among which 3620 personnel with professional technical qualification (336 staff with senior professional title and 3284 staff with middle-rank or elementary professional title), 380 National Registered Constructors and Associate Constructors, and 1073 qualified welders engaging in welding activities of high pressure pipes and vessels.

SEPCO enjoys the reputation as “Iron Army in power construction” in the power industry of China. Since founded in 1952, SEPCO has completed construction of 560 power generation units with a total installed capacity of over 93000MW, substations with a total transforming capacity of over 45,000MVA, transmission lines with a total length of over 18000km and PCCP pipes with a total length of over 1500km.

Since the year 2000, SEPCO has actively implemented the strategy of internationalization. It has undertaken 28 power projects with a total contract amount of 19.3 billion US dollars in more than ten countries and regions of Asia, Africa and South America. Among them, 20 power projects with a total capacity of 25697MW are contracted on EPC basis with a total contract amount of 191 billion US dollars.

SEPCO have been awarded the Luban Prize, the top Chinese construction award for 12 times. Since the year 2004, SEPCO has been ranked among the Top 225 International Contractors by Engineering News Record (ENR), USA for 7 successive years, listed No. 99, No. 105, No. 114, No.115, No.107, No.124 and No.101 respectively.
